I'm not famous... yet!

I grew up in a small town along the Mississippi River in Southern Illinois. I left as soon as I was old enough, but places like it have a way of following you. Quiet roads, old churches, buried histories, and the things people refuse to talk about still find their way into my stories.

I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t creating something. As a child, I would disappear somewhere quiet to write, paint, or draw. Creativity gave me somewhere to go during some of the darker periods of my life, and writing eventually became the form I kept returning to.

I’ve also always been drawn to mystery, science fiction, and the possibility that the world may be stranger than it appears. Vampires, werewolves, witches, unexplained events, and secrets with very human consequences have fascinated me for as long as I can remember.

Now, as K.T. Darke, I write dark, atmospheric mysteries set in ordinary places where something feels slightly wrong. Some stories are supernatural. Some are not. All of them explore buried secrets, difficult choices, and the cost of letting certain things into our lives.

I’m currently building the world of the Blackwater Chronicles while also writing standalone stories that venture beyond it. I’ll be sharing the work as it takes shape, one story at a time, and I’d love for you to discover it with me.
